Quick Recap
Really packed week! Xanadu releases their textbook, and Q-Ctrl their Black Opal course (Just $50 for 1y subscription!). IBM breaks the mold announcing their 127 bird, but also their “serverless” architecture (don’t think Lambda serverless here though). QuEra goes live with a $17M investment (but lots of discussion on whether what they are doing is “really” QC. Australia pours $70M into the industry, and Germany gets IQM machine. In the meantime IonQ announces their Q3 results, yielding over 180% returns to the early IPO-SPAC investors.
The Quote of the Week
"Yo me coloco en un territorio donde todo es desconocido, cosas de los hombres que no entendemos y que yo trato de entender."
Translation: "I place myself in a territory where everything is unknown, things about men that we do not understand and that I try to understand"
Eduardo Chillida - sculptor.

Physicists achieve fault-tolerant control of an error-corrected qubit – Physics World
The quantum nature of qubits is a double-edged sword. While it could help quantum computers solve problems that are intractable on classical machines, it is also easily destroyed by noise arising from unintended interactions between qubits and their environment.
