A packed week with research and news coming out. Quantum World Congress took place in Washington, and now preparing for Q2B in California. Wormholes being simulated (more on that below), quantum memories and company news. ColdQuanta is now InfleQtion (good job with the ‘Q’ there). Quantinuum and JPM show advances in NLP, and at the same time they join a consortium with BBC and UCL. So far Quantinuum seem to lead the development of QNLP (And we are eager to get our hands in Bob Coecke’s new book!). KFund, a VC in Spain published a comprehensive report of the quantum industry with a focus in Spain and its opportunities. Also in Spain Quside raises a series A round. The AWS Quantum Network center proved a Quantum Memory with error correction for 2 seconds (no less!). Meanwhile they release a quantum algorithm library to use as building blocks (the beginning of a marketplace?). The Netherlands opens their “House of Quantum” to host some of their startups. Q-Ctrl releases their survey results on what researchers and developers want. Lastly PsiQuantum promises a new technique for error correction with a 50X efficiency in run-time circtuis.
