Packed week! Even though half of the physicists in the world were enjoying their time in Vegas! (For one of the biggest yearly conferences there is of course!) Hopefully we will see some additional papers coming out next week. The European Quantum Computer Project OpenSuperQ has been extended, with 28 partners from 10 countries involved. The AWS Center for Quantum Networking completed its first trial of quantum-secured communication, exploring quantum key distribution in Singapore. LuxQuanta's new QKD prototype offers improved digital security. A nice research paper on how QC is being used to reinvent option pricing in capital markets and Provably efficient quantum algorithms for large-scale machine learning models have been shown to provide quantum enhancements. HRL has achieved universal control of their encoded qubits, demonstrating the universality of silicon-encoded spin qubits. PsiQuantum has opened a UK-based research facility to develop high-power cryogenic systems for large-scale quantum computing. Europe's funding for quantum technologies has grown, with high expectations for quantum computing. . Maybell Quantum has launched a cryogenic platform designed for scale and engineered for the quantum future. Researchers have found a way to predict the behavior of many-body quantum systems coupled to their environment, providing a crucial tool for real-world applications. QuantWare in the Netherlands has raised €6M. Ryken is one month away from launch and a great article on how Mastercard uses annealing techniques for card rewards program optimization.
