Brassard, Deutsch and Shor win a the Breakthrough prize, well deserved since without them we would not be talking today. Quantropy launches QiSpace, their platform for Quantum Secure communications. This ties with a couple of pieces on crypto and security by QuSide and others. And the launch of the European consortium by SES, ESA and the European Commission, to have QKD in the air. This matches with last week’s Hispasat project “Caramuel”. QCI launches the cloud access for Dirac 1, their entropy based computer. It works in a similar way as an annealer by finding the lowest energy of a Hamiltonian but with a completely different qubit approach. Goldman publishes a paper on how many qubits are needed for a real problem in finance: estimating option prizing (hint: over 8000 logical qubits). Classiq expands their series A to $49M. Novo Nordisk in Denmark leads their national quantum computer with an investment of $200M, while QuiX will build one for the German Aerospace Center for €14M.
